Finding Zoe
Finding Zoe
Description
RePlay: Finding Zoe is an online game that addresses gender stereotyping and abusive teen dating relationships. Geared towards youth 8-10 and 11-14 years old, Finding Zoe explores root causes of violence against women and girls, challenges gender stereotypes, instructs on warning signs of violence, and introduces community services.
RePlay: Finding Zoe is a collaboration with The Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children (METRAC) in partnership with the Ontario Government's Women Directorate. Take Action Games worked closely with METRAC in order to incorporate their long-standing subject matter expertise, and discern the most appropriate and effective story, characters, aesthetics and play mechanics. In turn, METRAC vigorously consulted with numerous partners and sister organizations, including: The White Ribbon Campaign, Shelternet: Making the Links for Abused Women, and The Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres.
